SUMMARY, EXPLANATION AND LIMITATIONS:
Cytokeratin 14 belongs to the type A (acidic) subfamily of low molecular weight keratins and exists in combination with keratin 5. Cytokeratin 14 has been studied as a prognostic marker in breast cancer.
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide of 15 amino acid residues from the C-terminus of human keratin 14.
Staining pattern: Cytoplasmic.
Positive control: Tissue sample from skin or squamous cell carcinoma.
This antibody is designed for the specific localization of human Cytokeratin 14 using IHC techniques in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
