Description

SUMMARY, EXPLANATION AND LIMITATIONS:
Cytokeratins are the homology groups I and II and in humans are encoded in more than 49 different genes on chromosomes 17 (I) and 12 (II). The nomenclature coined in 1982 by Moll and Franke assigned ranges from 1 to 8 for cytokeratin type II (neutral or basic) and between 9 and 21 for type I (acidic). Currently defined a nomenclature analogous to designate hair keratins with the addition of the letters Ha and Hb to separate the group I of the II. Many studies have shown the usefulness of keratins as markers in cancer-related research and diagnosis of tumors. This antibody recognizes cytokeratins 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 13 and 18. It is a broad spectrum antibody has been reported that used to differentiate epithelial tumors of epithelial tumors.

Clone: C-11
Isotype: IgG1
Immunogen: Cytoskeletal extract of A431, a epithelial cell line.
Staining pattern: Cytoplasmic.
Positive control: Tissue sample from skin or colon carcinoma.

APPLICATIONS:
This antibody is designed for the specific localization of human Cytoquetarins 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 13 and 18 using IHC techniques in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
