Description

SUMMARY, EXPLANATION AND LIMITATIONS:
HGH (human Growth Hormone) is produced in somatotropic cells in pituitary gland. HGH acts by binding to membrane receptors which belong to a cytokine receptors superfamily. Ligand binding induce the receptor dimerization and the activation of the associate kinase receptor JAK2, which autophosphorylates triggering a cascade of phosphorylation, which activates STAT proteins, as well as adaptors that lead the activation of Ras/MAP kinases via and PI-3 kinase.HGH plays an important role in the body growing control. It stimulates liver and other tissues that secrete IGF-1. It stimulates the myoblasts differentiation and proliferation, and also the amino acids absorption and protein synthesis in muscle and other tissues.

Polyclonal

Immunogen: Purified hGH.
Staining pattern: Cytoplasmic.
Positive control: Tissue sample from pituitary gland.

APPLICATIONS:
This antibody is designed for the specific localization of human hGH using IHC techniques in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
