SUMMARY, EXPLANATION AND LIMITATIONS:
Glucagon is produced by the pancreatic islets α-cells, but also intestine endocrine cells and brain neuron produce it. This antibody is useful for diagnose hyperplastic injuries and pancreatic originated endocrine tumors. It presents a human and rat cross reaction.
Immunogen: A synthetic peptide corresponding to internal region of human glucagon.
Staining pattern: Cytoplasmic.
Positive control: Tissue sample from pancreas.
This antibody is designed for the specific localization of human glucagon using IHC techniques in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
