SUMMARY, EXPLANATION AND LIMITATIONS:
The transcription factor Oct-2 (Octamer-binding transcription factor 2) is coded by the gene POU2F2 and also known as: OTF-2, POU Domain Class 2 Transcription Factor 2 and Lymphoid-Restricted Immunoglobulin Octamer-Binding Protein NF-A2. Oct-2 is expressed by different cell types, but particularly strong by B-cells. Like studies have shown, especially lymphomas derived from germ cells show outstanding high contents of Oct-2 [Sáez et al., 2002].
Staining pattern: Nuclear.
Positive control: Tissue sample from tonsil or lymph node.
This antibody is designed for the specific localization of human Oct-2 using IHC techniques in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
