SUMMARY, EXPLANATION AND LIMITATIONS:
Oct-2 (Octamer-binding transcription factor 2) is a transcription factor coded by the POU2F2 gen. This protein is expressed in different cell types, but it is high expressed particularly in B cells. Some studies have shown that germinal cell derived lymphomas presents high levels of Oct-2 (Sáez et al.,2002).
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide derived from the C-terminus of human Oct-2.
Staining pattern: Nuclear.
Positive control: Tissue sample from tonsil.
This antibody is designed for the specific localization of human Oct-2 using IHC techniques in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
